Hi, I'm Kate — dog mum to the incomparable Gzi Gzi, live music devotee, earring collector, stairwell singer, and committed devourer of good books. I hate cooking but I am inexplicably obsessed with cooking shows. Make that make sense.

I'm curly, curvy, calm in a crisis, and proudly neuro-sparkly. I believe the world is genuinely better with good vibes, great friends, a fab soundtrack — and of course, love.

I studied Drama and Psychology at university, and have spent my career working in human services, supporting women and families through some of life's most significant moments. That's still the work I do — and it's that background that makes me a different kind of celebrant.

I understand how to hold space when emotions run high. I know how to find the right words when they matter most. And I've learned, through years of sitting with people in tender moments, that a good ceremony isn't just delivery — it's genuine human connection, wrapped in something carefully crafted and completely personal.

Growing up, I came to appreciate just how much rituals and ceremony matter — and how important it is that they're done well. A good ceremony is a bit like good theatre: memorable, satisfying, and impossible to forget. Whether it's a wedding, a baby naming, a funeral or a pet memorial, I curate experiences that honour the real story — and make everyone in the room feel it.

I've been a registered Marriage Celebrant since 2014, and a qualified Justice of the Peace. Since then I've had the privilege of officiating ceremonies all over Australia — and across Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast, and the Gold Coast.
